The writer and narrator of these vignettes from the life of Jerry Balls is James Whittingham, a Canadian humorist, comic actor and podcaster.

James started his career on local television in Regina, Canada with The James and Kevin Show. The show was a cult hit and had some of its segments air nationally. He and costar Kevin Allardyce later appeared in interstitial segments throughout the 1997 season of Just For Laughs (CBC). 

James had the starring role in the feature film comedy The Sabbatical in 2016.

Episode 2: "Silicone Valley"

  So there was Gretchen, Baptist, former Texan, wife to Ronnie, no fun at all, standing naked inside her bathrobe outdoors at the entrance to her neighbor's very large and expensive house. Episode 5: "Jerry Sends Taylor Swift a Cat"

Jerry arrives to meet his porn agent Marty only to be met by Marsha, a publicist who fixes problems for elites. She comes up with a plan to shape Jerry's precarious image. First she sends Taylor Swift a kitten to thank her for the attention she brought Jerry. Then Jerry goes on CNN to talk to Anderson Cooper while pretending to be something he isn't. --- Jerry's penis felt like it was cut off and sewn back on so he took one of his last prescription pain killers. He was in the back seat of a cab driving across town as the sun set over L.A.
